Greenwich Village (New York City)

Greenwich, once home to famous authors like James Baldwin, Jack Kerouac, and William S.

Burroughs, is now a wonderful place to visit for anybody interested in literature.

This is so even though the cost of renting has been steadily rising.

The charming brownstones that line the tree-lined lanes here date back to the 19th century.

It's easy to get disoriented as you roam aimlessly through this lovely area.

but Greenwich Village is still home to some of the city's liveliest clubs.
