The Morgan will finish the first full restoration of the library's exterior
which was ordered by J. Pierpont Morgan from architect Charles Follen McKim.
In addition to the restoration, the Morgan is making improvements to the grounds
so that visitors can get to them for the first time in the institution's history.
The Morgan Garden, which was designed by award-winning
landscape architect Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, will be a new
welcoming place for people to meet, relax, and enjoy museum programmes.
