Gandhi Ghat

Being one of the main tourists spots in Patna this ghat is named after the leader Mahatma Gandhi and is located on the banks of River Ganges. The Evening Ganga Aarti is very famous and also the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi are immersed in the river Ganges making this place rich in history. Totally 51 lamps are lightened by a group of priests for the Aarti under the darkened sky and it all looks so majestic. Since 2011 the great ritual has been getting followed by the priests of Patna and many tourists visit this place to be present for the holy Aarti.

Mahavir Mandir

The temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is one of the most sacred temples in Patna for Hindus. Many pilgrims visit this temple every time and there are several trusts ran by the temple for which many tourists highly support. Some of the welfare organizations by the temple are Mahavir Cancer Institute, Arogya Hospital, orphanages and much more. Ram Navami is very joyfully celebrated here and millions of devotees visit this temple on that day. Currently Acharya Kishore Kunal is assigned as the secretary of this Mahavir Mandir Temple Trust.

Patna Sahib Gurudwara

Also known by the name Harmandir Takht Shri Patna Sahib, the Gurudwara is one of the most visited pilgrimages by the Sikh devotees and it is situated on the banks of River Ganga. Commemorating the tenth Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Gobind Singh, the Gurudwara was constructed by the Maharaja Ranjith Singh as it is the birth place of Guru Gobind Singh. It is also considered as the Takht of all the 5 total Takhts of Sikhism. There is always a free food service here which is provided to all the devotees visiting the holy place and whoever is offering service here is considered to be offering service to God.

The Golghar

It was initially built for storing grains in a huge quantity but now is a renowned tourists spot. The entire structure is beehive-shaped and the construction of this structure was completed in 1786. The astonishing thing is that the building is pillar-less and has around 145 steps to reach the top of it.

Patna Museum

Being the state museum of the India some of the amazing historical artefacts are found in here. Some of the awesome collections here are archaeological objects, art objects, coins and artworks like paintings, bronze images and statues. The fossil of a tree found here is a 200-million-year-old and if you ever visit Patna, this place should be in your list.

Dungeshwari Hills

The cave like structured holy land is said to be the place where Lord Buddha stayed for some time before he left for Patna for receiving enlightenment. The caves here are the place where Gautama Buddha used to mediate and to date the Stupas and shrines are found here. Also, the hills are famous the picturesque views of the surroundings and if you like trekking then this is the right place to visit.
