The Tomb of Ibrahim Lodi

The tomb is visited by many tourists. Ibrahim Lodi was the sultan of Delhi in 1517 and he became the sultan after his father Sultan Sikander passed away. The sultan was actually defeated in the battle of Panipat and was killed in the same war. The tomb is remarkable place which gives the glimpse of the massive war of Panipat which now every student in India studies about it. Thus, the tourists from all around the world find the place very attractive as it helps them to know about the great battle much in detail.

Panipat museum

The amazing museum was mainly established for spreading the details of the battle of Panipat and for the rich history of the region to be noticeable for everyone with some of the remarkable ancient architecture found here. Several parts of Haryana’s cultures and arts forms are displayed in a very detailed manner. There will be many antiques, historical objects, archaeological findings, pretty arts and crafts, some ancient inscriptions found here that you can get a good look at. The Kala Amb

The majestic place was the ground where many years before the epic third battle of Panipat took place. Marathas fought against the army of Mughals and as per the legends at the end of the war hardly anyone could see the ground because of the dried blood which formed a thick black layer on it. The name Kala Amb states black mango. As per the belief after the war the only mango tree which was present in middle of the ground only started bearing black fruits and thus the name of the land goes by Kala Amb. Now this place has become a favourable tourist place and you must visit it while going on a trip to Haryana. Also, an annual event is organised very year here to honour the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the battle of Panipat.

Purana Qila

The Purana Qila meaning Old Fort is renowned for being one of the oldest forts in India. Earlier it was known as the Shergarh & Sher Fort and was inhabited for around 2,500 years. Some of the findings of the place have been traced back to the Pre-Mauryan period the site is also known as the Indraprastha, the capital of the kingdom ruled by the Pandavas. The huge walls of the fort stand tall up to 18 metres height and there are three most beautiful arched gateways found here. The big gate that is the Bara Darwaza is the main the gate which is still to date used by people and the Humayun gate is the place from here you can look at the tomb of Humayun present here. The last gate is the forbidden gate and is known as the Talaqi gate.

The Kabuli Bagh Mosque

The mosque is one of the top attractions found in Panipat Haryana. The construction of the Kabuli Bagh Mosque took place in the year of 1527 by the Mughal emperor Babur who wanted make a marvellous monument to make a remark of his victory after he defeated the Sultan Ibrahim Lodhi in the first battle that took place in Panipat. The epic historical architecture of the monument is appreciated by many and the mosque is named after Babur’s wife Kabuli Begum. Later that same year the gates and the awe-striking gardens were built near the mosque. The large arched domes gives this place a royalty touch. However, Babur was not successful in giving the mosque the exact touch of the Timurid architecture as the artisans were not currently present during the construction period of the mosque. The octagonal towers, red sandstone’s massive walls, well-structured Qiba, beautiful surroundings are some of the key points of the historical place which attracts many from all around the globe.
