Jagannath Temple
Quite possibly the most well-known milestones of the city, this ridge sanctuary is undoubtedly worth a visit. Its beginnings can be followed back to 1691. The sanctuary is wonderfully beautified with complicated carvings and bright stones, framing a miniature copy of the renowned Jagannath sanctuary in Puri. Not at all like most sanctuaries in India where symbols are made of dirt or gravel, the icon of Lord Jagannath in the Ranchi Jagannath sanctuary is made of wood, making it exceptional.
