The Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temple

The shrine of Omkareshwar is one of the 12 famous jyotirlingas in India and tourists and worshippers have to travel to the meeting point of the rivers Narmada and Kaveri to visit the temple. The temple offers a stunning view as it is surrounded by the clear water so the holiest rivers and is a delightful place to visit for sure.

Sri Govinda Bhagavatpada cave

The sacred caves which are considered to be very religiously important among the Hindu worshippers is dedicated to Lord Shiva and tourists will find a Shivalingam in a small sanctum. As per the belief the caves are the very place where saint Govinda Bhagwatpad met Shankaracharya and taught him about religiousness and spirituality. The caves are highly visited by n number of tourists as many such stories of the saint and his follower is related to the cave.

The Siddhanath Temple

The holy temple is located very close to the Omkareshwar Parikrama and is one of the most architectural monuments or temples you will find in the city. The holy temple is filled with sculptures of elephants and huge carvings found on its walls which make it really picturesque and was constructed back in the 13th century. The beloved temple is a mix of Hindu and Jain style of architecture which is found in many other temples constructed during the era. The shrine also traces to the Indo Nagara style architecture which makes it culturally very important too.

The Parikrama path

The path which circles the holy hill of Omkar is the path known here famously as the Parikrama path. Many tourists believe that a walk on this path is very good for having a peaceful life. The path is field with many places which serves as a scenic view. The picturesque landscapes of the city. Rivers of Narmada and Kaveri and the view of the entire sacred island is all that you will get to see while you walk on the path. It stretches around 7-8 kms and surely is beautiful.
