The Raja Mahal

The royal palace is one of the most majestic palaces which you will find in the region. It was constructed back in the era 17th century and is one of the well-maintained tourist spots for sure. The place is blissful that the peacefulness in its atmosphere is juts marvellous. Many tourists are left amazed due to the charm of the royal palace and it has a very rich history too. Many kings of Orchha resided in the palace making it their home. Surrounded with spectacular gardens, the place is totally worth visiting.

The Jahangir Mahal

The beautiful palace was constructed back in the era when Mughals entered the lands of India. The mahal was built was constructed in 1598 and totally is inspired from the classic Mughal architecture. The palace was built by Bharath Bhushan after he defeated Vir Deo Singh of Bundela and today it serves as a great destination for many tourists visiting the city. The palace is also famous for its intricate carvings and many sculptures that are found here. Being so beautiful, many Mughals were attracted to the palace and many visited and lived here during their rule.

The Chaturbhuj temple

The holy shrine which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu is one of the famous Hindi temples found in the city. It was built in 875 ADs when the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty was ruling the city. As in many sacred scriptures the Hindu lord Vishnu is been described as Chaturbhuj, the temple is named after him. The stunning architecture of the temple makes the shrine totally splendid. Being surrounded with lush greenery it is very attractive for sure and has been cherished for making the city religious because of its presence.

Chattris

The path which circles the holy hill of Omkar is the path known here famously as the Parikrama path. Many tourists believe that a walk on this path is very good for having a peaceful life. The path is field with many places which serves as a scenic view. The picturesque landscapes of the city. Rivers of Narmada and Kaveri and the view of the entire sacred island is all that you will get to see while you walk on the path. It stretches around 7-8 kms and surely is beautiful.The region has seen many great kings ruled it and to keep the royalties attached to their city their royal tombs were constructed in Chattris. There are pillars supporting the place and the royal tombs shows us the glimpse of how many huge dynasties that the land of Orchha has faced back in the ancient days. Chattris is located on the banks of clear river of Betwa river which makes the place look more stunning for sure. There is bridge constructed on the side of the river from where you can get a clear look of all the royal tombs located here
