The Grishneshwar Temple

Being one of the Jyotirlingas sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Grishneshwar Temple is also known as the Dhushmeshwar Temple. The sacred shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is the smallest and the last Jyotirlingas constructed among the 12 found today. The temple is also famous for being the only Jyotirlingas in the country which allows all the worshippers entering the temple to touch the Holy Shiva Linga. The South Indian Style of the temple with five-tiered shikhara is one of the most cherished carved part of the shrine.

The Ajanta Caves

The caves are one of the UNESCO World heritage Sites and depicts the Buddhist culture. The caves are a set of 3rock-cutut Buddhist caves which were carved during the era of 2nd century BC and 650 CE. The caves are known for the rich collection of many ancient beautiful paintings and sculptures which shows every aspect of our rich Culture. It is believed that the Buddhist monks use the caves as retreat having many scenes from Jataka tales carved here.

The Bibi ka Maqbara

The spectacular mausoleum is inspired by the construction of Taj Mahal and it was constructed for Rabia- Ul - Daurani alias Dilras Banu Begum. She was the wife of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb who constructed this mausoleum for in 1661. The queen died in 1657 this majestic structure stands to date in her memory. The monument is also referred as Taj of the Deccan and is the largest structure built during Aurangzeb's rule. The beautiful monument and the surrounding garden are indeed a breath-taking place to visit and is highly visited by thousands of tourists every year.

The Daulatabad Fort

The massive ancient fort surrounded by lush greenery is one of the most beautiful tourist spots found in Maharashtra. The beautiful fort was marvellously built in the 12th century and now is also known as the Devgiri fort. The top view from the fort is surely mesmerising as you can give a good look at the astounding city of Aurangabad. There are 750 odd steps to reach the fort which you would need to climb.
