The Trimbakeshwar Temple

The ancient temple is famous for being one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India and is a renowned Shaiva temple. Surrounded with the picturesque landscapes of Brahmagiri Hills. The architectural temple was constructed by the ruler Peshwa Nana Saheb. It was built in the 18th century and it is mandatory to wear a sovala or a silk dhoti to visit the temple. This sacred site is a Hindu pilgrimage spot with a temple dedicated to the goddess Saptashrungi Nivasin. As per the legends one of the limbs of the right arm of Sati fell here making Saptashrungi a very holy place. It is blessed with abundant nature’s beauty and is surrounded with greenery spread mountain, dense forests and a peaceful atmosphere. There are around 500 steps that you need to climb to reach the temple or you can go for the ropeway. You can also taste the food that is served here.
