This fort holds an extraordinary place in people’s hearts as it is the birthplace of the legendary day Maharana Pratap. The best time to visit Kumbhalgarh fort is in winters between October to February. This majestic fort stands tall at the elevation of 11,000 m on the Aravalli range. The great wall of India is the 36kms long wall of the Kumbhalgarh fort, standing at the second position of the longest wall in the world.

Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary

it is spread across the area of 578sq km which was once the hunting grounds of the kings. Neelkanth Mahadev temple

This temple is in the vicinity of the Kumbhalgarh fort. It is beleived that the raja at that time would not start his day without worshipping the deity Lord Shiva. It has a six ft lingam of Lord Shiva.

Vedi Temple

This octagonal shape temple with 36 pillars is situated in the vicinity of Kumbhalgarh fort. The temple is embraced by the blessing of the idol Goddess Vedi. It is a significant temple because Rana Kumbha built it in honour of pilgrims who sacrificed their lives. Maharana Fateh Singh later renovated it.

Badal Mahal

Badal Mahal, situated in the central part of the Kumbhalgarh Fort, is the fort’s highest point, adorned by colourful murals. It offers a spectacular view from the top. The mahal is divided into two significant parts for males and females, known as Zanana and Mardana. Kumbhalgarh is a must-visit to have an exceptional experience in Rajasthan.
