Kattabomman Memorial Fort
The government of Tamilnadu built the fort to honour the great freedom fighter Veerapandiya Kattabomma Karuthayya Naykkar allies, Kattabomman. He was the chieftain of the eighteenth century who refused the invasion of British east Indian company. He stands against them and waged war. But unfortunately, the British offered the death penalty after capturing him and his reign. The memorial is in the palace where the British government hanged him to death. The local consider him as the shrine for his constant struggle and brave death. However, it is slightly far away from the town most tourists visit here to admire his bravery. It establishes the nature of Tamil kings and their courageous thoughts over the British domination. It is a beautiful place to explore the ancient Tamilians and was properly maintained.
