The Amarnath Cave
This is a holy shrine located an altitude of 3,888 m and is one of the most visited Hindu shrines in the beautiful city of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a place which is considered as a renowned pilgrimage site and gets visited by thousands of people every year. The caves are a must to place during the summers and the region is surrounded with many mountains located with serene views. The Amarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be a place where Lord Shiva explained his consort Goddess Parvati about the secret of eternity and life. The caves are almost 5000 years old.
The Kishtwar national park
The beautiful park is located on the plateau and is surrounded with Chenab river and is filled with picturesque landscapes. The region is situated below a glacier and covers an area of 400 Sq. km. The area has saffron growth in a limited time and its harvesting is accompanied by ceremonies and festivals, this is typically during summer. Spread over an area of 400 sq.km the park. The park houses around 15 different species of mammals and is blessed with variety of flora and fauna.
The Martand Sun Temple
The temple is considered to be very holy and was constructed back in 7th and the 8th century. The term Martand in Sanskrit means Sun God as per the Hindu mythology. The temple complex was constructed by Lalitaditya and is made of limestone which makes it very elegant and breath-taking. The temple is considered to be architecturally significant and very much historical and it is a must to visit the courtyard here.
Aishmuqam Shrine
This sacred place in Anantnag is one of the most visited places and as per the belief, the Aishmuqam Shrine is famous for having a renowned saint of Kashmir. Saint Sheikh Noor-ud-din is said to be resting in peace here and the temple gets visited highly by n number of tourists every year. Saint Sheikh Zain-ud-din dedicated his entire life in service of the Almighty. And is a must to visit spot in Kashmir to get blessed and enjoy the serene view.
