The peaceful village in the city is located very close to the Sahyadri ranges and with breath-taking view, it is one of the highly popular places found. The village is also very famous for the 2000-year-old Ratangad fort present here which was captured by the great Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The temple of Amruteshwar located here is highly visited by worshippers and it dedicated to the powerful Hindi Lord Shiva. Carved out of a stone, the temple was constructed in 900 AD by King Jhang.
