The Lal Mahal
The beautiful is a historical site constructed back in 16th century
and was restored Shahaji Bhosle, Shivaji Maharaj's father. The palace was the
place where the great ruler, Chhatrapati Shivaji spend his childhood and thus
historically it an important city found in the city. The palace has seen many huge
attacks and many dynasties trying to take it under their control. The Lal Mahal is
known for its charm and the intricately carved walls of the palace makes it look
more majestic.
The Aga Khan Palace
The astounding palace was built by Sultan Muhammed
Shah Aga Khan III. Being a historical landmark, it was constructed back in the
year 1892 and is the site where Mahatma Gandhi, his wife Kasturba Gandhi, as
well as Sarojini Naidu and Mahadev Desai were captured and imprisoned. The
Palace covers an area of 19 acres and it holds a many belonging that belonged to
famous national leaders along with huge paintings found here. The palace is also
now declared as a national monument and is a must to visit spot for sure.
The Osho Ashram
The beautiful spot is located at Koregaon Park and is a
Meditation site with a calmness spread in its atmosphere. The Ashram is a
centre of meditation and ideologies of Osho are present here. It was established
in 1974 and it organises meditation sessions and therapies and many other such
programs for tourists visiting it. The teachings like how to take control over
one’s mind, how to maintain peace and stableness in life is all what is taught
here. You can take a 1-day pass and visit the ashram and enjoy it gloriousness.
The Shaniwar Wada
The beautiful tourists spot is famous for being the
historical structure and the abundant beautiful sights found here. You will find
many bazars here and these markets are here for years now. The fort is very
beautiful and an awe-striking site which indeed looks glorious. As per the
legends on a full moon night the fort is haunted by the ghost of a former Peshwa
king Narayanrao. The King was in this place by his aunt and uncle - Anandi and
Raghunathrao. Thus, it is historically very important.
