The Barbati Fort
This fort in Cuttack traces back to the 14th century that is during the rule of the Ganga dynasty. Located near the river Mahanadi, this fort provides amazing view. The fort is a 9 storeyed palace which is intricately carved and here you would also find a holy shrine dedicated to Katak Chandi. The Barbati Fort has a design which would easily prevent the attacks from the enemies and thus was considered as one of the most important forts in the state.
The Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary
The breath-taking sanctuary that covers an area of around 650 sq. kms and is home to many endangered species. The rarest species of flora and fauna are found in the sanctuary and soke of the species found here include crocodiles, Olive Ridley Sea Turtles, Darters and much more. More than 215 species of migratory birds are found in the sanctuary. The sanctuary is also famous for being the second largest mangrove forest in India.
The Paradeep beach
Being one of the most well maintained and serene beaches in the state. The jaw-dropping golden beach is blessed with glittery shining water under the sun and the refreshens and peacefulness in its atmosphere. Tourists might notice the huge rock boulders which makes the sea port more alluring. The beach us surrounded with dense green forests thus it attracts a lot of tourist especially the nature lovers and the beach lovers. The beach indeed serves as an ideal destination spot which is a great place to choose if you want to have a picnic.
The Stone Revetment
The astounding tourist spot is situated on the banks of Kathjuri River and was built back in the 11th century. The amazing place has been standing strong and is indeed an architectural wonder found in the city. The Stone Revetment is a marvellous place and was initially constructed to obstruct flood water from entering the city. The fact that the construction of the wonderous spot was done centuries back when there was not much development of technology is truly fascinating.
