Samiyarpettai Beach
The beach was located in the Samiyarpettai village. Situated on the coromandel coast of the Bay of Bengal, this is on the eastern coast of India. The town is the largest of coastal cities in local. Sri Raghavendra Swami
Bhuvanagiri is the birthplace of a pleasing saint, Raghavendra Swami. Ramalinga Adigalar’s home Maruthur is also close to this town. The name of the place is the combination of two Tamil-Sanskrit words. Bhuvanam means the world, and Giri means Moutain or unmovable, which gives the meaning place that does not move. Local people refer to Mel Bhuvanafiri and Kezh Bhuvanagiri for the western and eastern segment of this place. Agriculture in the wetland cultivation is the main occupation of the people living here. Rice is the principal crop, and Black gram, green gram are the seasonal crops. Finger millet, Pearl millet, corn, Thoor dhal, sesamum and red gram are the minor crops cultivated in drylands. Devanathaswamy temple
The place is popular with the name Thiruvanthipuram Kovil. It is in the Thiruvanthipuram village dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. The temple has architecture associated with the Dravidian style. It is one of the temples of Divya Prabhandha. This temple is also one in the hundred and eight Divyadesam dedicated to Vishnu. The presiding god of the temple is Devanathaswamy, and his consort Lakshmi is Hemabhujavalli. The temple had its origin during the medieval Cholas, with later expansion from Pandyas and other empires. The surface of the temple has fifty inscriptions from different Chola and Pandya kings. During the reign of Koperunjinga, the tower of the Temple was erected.
Fort St.David
It is one of the British fort located on the Coromandel coast of India. It is near Silver beach without any maintenance. The river Gadilam situated at the side of this place has a remarkable history. During the rule of Nayaks in Gingee, this place was under their control. Dutch started the initiative for the project when they started expanding their trade. But the Gingee Nayaks pulled back the Portuguese, and they maintained the port under appointed traders. It became an essential source of sandalwood, camphor, cloves, nutmeg, mace, green velvet, porcelain, copper, and brass. Elihu Yale, the governor of Madras, acquired the fort and named it Fort Saint David after a Welsh Saint in 1960.
