FATEHPUR SIKRI

Fatehpur Sikri is a town in the Agra district. It was once the capital of the Mughal empire in earlier years. The site was built and established by Akbar and later got abandoned in 1610. Just like many other tourist places in Agra, this was also holistically built with red sandstone.

ITMAD-UD-DAULAH’S TOMB

Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb is another Mughal mausoleum situated on the bank of the river Yamuna. It is one of the beautiful places to visit in Agra. The architecture and interior are believed to be inspired by the structure of the Taj Mahal. It also has traces of white marble from Rajasthan. Some people even call it the ‘baby taj’.
