In addition to Death Valley
California is home to the equally fascinating Joshua Tree National Park in the desert.
This park is a barren landscape populated by twisted cactus-like trees
that guarantees a wonderful climate (the best in the state)
(Joshua trees) and rock masses resting on the ground like tombstones, creating a surreal and decidedly evocative landscape.
The park is easily navigable by car (or rented car), and many of the park's
attractions are conveniently located near roads or rest stops.
