Prepare yourself for the most beautiful hike in the Leavenworth region.
There were gurgling streams, lush forests, arid scree slopes, flower-filled meadows, and a lake ringed by towering granite peaks.
From the car lot, it's a short walk to the trailhead.
Beginning at a log footbridge, the walk initially follows a creek for a mile or so.
Crossing the bridge, the trail immediately begins a gradual ascent, eventually reaching a fork at 2.5 kilometres.
If you want to see breathtaking vistas, stay on the right route (the left track leads to Colchuck Lake).
